Welcome to the Atlanta Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi.
Our mission is to recognize and develop a well-balanced program, therefore enriching the brotherhood and the community. We strive to focus on the fraternity and community as a whole, and to give everyone some of what they’re looking for when they join the Atlanta Alumni Chapter.
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity, and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce; and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
For a century, our chapter has carried that mission forward here in Atlanta. Founded in 1925 by a group of visionary Kappa brothers from Georgia State University, we’ve grown into one of the most respected and enduring alumni chapters in the country — one of the few to claim 100 years of continuous operation.
As Atlanta grew into a dynamic business hub, our chapter grew with it, welcoming brothers from campuses across the Southeast and beyond. That mix of backgrounds and experiences has always been one of our greatest strengths, letting us build a chapter that blends tradition with fresh energy year after year.
We take that standard seriously. Since the national awards program began in 1990, we’ve been named Most Outstanding Alumni Chapter in the country 12 times, along with national recognition for Professional Programming, Service, and Collegiate Relations. In 2023, we swept every national category in the same year — a first in our chapter’s history.
Our commitment to service runs deeper than plaques. Through the Clyde Kitchens/Thoben Elrod Leadership Fund, the Bob and Dorothy Busse Scholarship, the Mitchell B. Simmons Fund, and the Cohen Leadership Fund, our brothers have given back to the collegiate chapters and students who carry Delta Sigma Pi’s mission forward.
Throughout the year, five cornerstone events bring our brothers together:
- The Bill Borland Picnic, every August, kicking off our year
- Founders’ Day, every November 7th, honoring our roots
- Our Holiday Party, a festive close to the calendar year
- Bylli’s Brunch, our Alumni Day celebration, held annually around April 25th
- Our Annual Meeting, every May
